Mukunaram, a resident of Thalanju, who was riding a bike, was killed in a collision with the luxury car of famous bhajan singer Om Mundel in Thalanju village of Sribalaji police station area of Nagaur district. Two days after the accident, Muknaram’s 20-year-old wife Pooja also committed suicide.
Muknaram and Pooja got married about a year and a quarter ago. Pooja had come to her in-laws house Thalanju only for the fourth time. Where Muknaram had gone on a bike with Pooja to attend a social program at his brother-in-law’s place. On the way, Bhajan singer Om Mundel’s husband Mukunaram died before the collision of his luxury car near Singad village. Pooja was so shocked by her husband’s death that she committed suicide by jumping into the ditch.

High speed luxury car took life
Mukunaram’s bike was hit by a speeding luxury car coming in the wrong direction near Naira petrol pump. Police reached the spot and took the injured Mukunaram and Pooja to the hospital where Mukunaram died, while Pooja was injured. Saddened by the death of her husband, Pooja kept becoming unconscious again and again. Late on Wednesday night, he died by going to the stitches. On getting the information, Sribalaji police station officer Mahendra Singh reached the spot and sent the body to the hospital for post-mortem. After this, the body was handed over after the post-mortem in the presence of Pihar and in-laws.
CCTV footage revealed the secret of the accident
After Muknaram’s death, the people and family members of the village demanded an inquiry into the accident, then the police also showed promptness and after examining the CCTV footage, the luxury car was identified. The vehicle is in the name of bhajan singer Om Mundel, the police seized the vehicle and arrested the driver Mukesh. In the case, the family members alleged in front of the police that bhajan singer Om Mundel was traveling in the car with his companions, instead of taking the injured to the hospital, he himself left.
